WORK EXPERIENCE
Managing Director Northern Europe, Meetic SA (May 2006 - )
MEETIC is the leading European online dating service. MEETIC manages 10 services (Meetic, Meetic Mobile, Ulteem, Superlol, Lexa, ParPerfeito, DatingDirect, Cleargay, eFriendsNet and Neu.de) and markets 2 highly complementary economic models on the dating market, one based on internet use, the other on mobile phones. - Reporting to the Managing Director Meetic Group.
- Full P&L responsibility for 4 countries (NO, DK, SE, NL) with a turnover of 10 M EUR,
- Established local offices, built and managed a cross functional staff of 20 people in SE and NL.
- Increased revenues by a total of + 25% per year in the region in a highly competitive market.
- Appointed to the managing board of Meetic Group as the VP International Operations with full P&L responsibility for the European operation in 15 countries with a staff of 60, including 5 Country Managers, and a turnover of 100 M EUR.
- Established local offices and hired Country Managers in UK and DE – two group key markets.
- Managed a +40 M EUR marketing budget
- Handled high-level international and pan-European contract negotiations.
- Increased sales and brand-awareness across the region by localized integrated on- and offline campaigns.

Director of Internet Services, Tiscali SpA/International (October 2005 - )
Tiscali is one of Europe’s leading Internet service providers for the business and consumer market, with 8 million customers and revenue of 1 billion Euros. The company is currently in a transition process with an increase focus on promoting Internet services and value added services in addition to traditional narrowband/broadband access services. - Responsible for the Internet Services business area in Europe, reporting to the Group CEO.
- Developed European questionnaire on Internet Services strategy, leading to a redefined and improved approach on VAS in the Tiscali Group. This included processes and roles and responsibilities within corporate and between corporate and the countries.
- Responsible for the Group’s applications portfolio.
- Project Leader for the design and implementation of new innovative email antivirus service in the NL, including commercial, technical and portal aspects, for later rollout across the Tiscali Group.
- Introduced new strategy, via Team Leadership of NL Business Unit Directors, decreasing churn from 5% to 2% in the Netherlands.
- Improved time to NL market, quality of service and competitiveness by active product portfolio management.
- Led a cross-functional team, as project owner, to redefine NL portal strategy including new portal organization and processes with a further plan for International rollout. Tiscali NL portal is the pilot portal within the Group.
- Live in Sweden but have Expat status in the Netherlands. Travel monthly across Europe.
Director of Internet Services, Tiscali Netherlands (February 2005 – October 2005)
Tiscali b.v. is the second largest internet service provider in the Netherlands and is one of the key countries in the Tiscali group. Besides the Tiscali brand Tiscali b.v. operates under the 12move brand. For more information see www.tiscali.nl
- Improved Tiscali.nl in order to increase the product sale- and online advertising revenues by 20%. Restructured the portal in terms of brand consistency, site consistency and tech synergies, including online payment/billing solutions, customer service, customer self care and portal technology.
- Increased short-term revenues by over 300.000 EUR per country by setting corporate/group short and long-term strategy for online services including portal strategy as well as, a cross-functional project to introduce a CRM tool, processes and strategy for Tiscali Netherlands.
- Senior Project Manager, working with an international team, successfully launching a range of Internet Services in May 2005. Included IT design and development, portal and CRM improvements, pricing and promotion plans. Also acting as consultant for other Tiscali Countries.

Portal and PR Director, Tiscali Denmark/Benelux (September 2004 - February 2005)
Tiscali DK/BNL is one of the 5 new “key-market Countries” within the Tiscali Group. In February 2005 Tiscali sold off the operations in Belgium and Denmark, and the DK/BNL organization ceased to exist.
- Responsible, in a matrix structure with the local Country Managers, for increasing revenue performance for the DK/BNL Region. Reported directly to the Benelux/Nordics board.
- Defined Regional strategies and priorities for Portal and PR/Communications. Led defined project activities and day-to-day operational follow-up. This included online advertising, research, online portal technology, content development and product development.
- Senior Project Manager for a number of NL Internet Service Projects including the launch of the world (online) premiere of the movie 0605 de film. In charge of coordinating and motivating cross-country and cross-departmental synergies. Responsible for external coordination and purchase of PR agency services for the region.
Nordic Media Director, Tiscali Sweden, Norway and Denmark (March 2003 – September 2004)
Tiscali (Nordics) budget 2004: 65 mill Euro revenue, 350.000 customers, 175 colleagues and a marketing budget of 5 mill Euro. In September 2004, Tiscali sold off the operations in Norway and Sweden, and the Nordic organization ceased to exist.
- Led a matrix structure of Country General Managers, initiating portal measures and marketing activites leading to 8% (EUR 4M) increase in Regional turnover in 9 months. Reported directly to the Benelux/Nordics Board.
- Responsible for Regional Portal and PR/Communication strategies and priorities.
- Media trained PR spokes person for all Nordic Countries.
- Responsible for external coordination and purchase of PR agency services for the Region. Increased brand-awareness in the media sector by over 15% in all Nordic countries.
Marketing Manager/Business Development, Svenska Torget AB (Nov 2001 – Nov 2002)
Torget was the first and the largest e-commerce portal in Sweden and is still in operation. Owned and managed by the Royal Swedish Mail. Later sold to a venture capital company. For more information: www.torget.se

- Built and implemented company marketing strategy. Executed marketing and sales communication plans for all Torget brands.
- Increased traffic to torget.se by 20% with a limited budget via strategic partnerships.
- Responsible for the commercial re-launch of TorgetBonus (customer/loyalty club) resulting in take-up of over 1000 new members.
- Business Developer with main focus on finding new revenue-streams and developing new price structures for sales teams. Built strategic relationships with external partners. Part of sales-process on large accounts.
Marketing Director, Net Entertainment AB (Jan 2001 – Oct 2001)

- Responsible for sales and marketing strategy. Successfully executed several International B2C and B2B marketing and sales campaigns for Net Entertainment brands. Increased sign-up rate by 10% during the period.
- Responsible for the license sales of the Net Entertainment gaming platform, technology and online java games. Successfully won two international contracts.

Marketing Director, Infragaming AB (June 2000 – Jan 2001)

- Responsible for marketing department, managing 10 people. Developed and executed National and Nordic marketing and sales plans with an annual budget of 40.000.000 SEK.
- Developed and managed company websites for all company brands: TV1000, Viasat, TV6, Viasat Sport, TV8 and Kabelvision. ROI was met within one year.
- Planned and executed start of major digital conversion campaign with sales department and retailers across the country.

- Planned and executed price, fee and distribution negotiations with National and International TV distributors and external TV channels.
